Although most of the paintings are from a template, the designs have been created by artists all over the U.S.A. Some of the instructors create their own designs as well, so you are sure to walk away with something that you can hang on the wall. The instructor sets you up with all the supplies and guides you through the painting step by step, so there is a low risk of error.
Heather Montgomery is the studio manger and lead instructor she said, “It’s for people who don’t paint or have never painted, there are some seasoned artists who do come in as well.” Overall, Heather explains it’s more of a way to spend a nice evening out of the norm relaxing and enjoying some great local beer and wine.
Heather has a B.A. in fine arts from the University of Dartmouth, and she teaches painting classes at N.I.C. so to say the least you will be in capable hands!
“My passion lies in acrylic paint, so always having people here to teach and share this with is really nice.” said, Heather. She loves when people come in and feel like they have no creative ability at all and by the end of the class they feel inspired and empowered. “They are astounded by what they come up with by the end of it.”
There are public classes every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so if you want to come without a group you can always find a seat. Sign-ups are online, and private parties are available by request.♦
